Mark Cuban is backing a new football league that plans to compete with the NFL. This isn't a new concept of course, there was the USFL in the 80s, and the XFL six years ago. Both leagues failed, though the USFL did have some good years. The XFL folded after one season. Cuban has posted some reasons why he believes this new league can succeed on his blog. We're going to double up today's item by also linking to a response to Cuban's points written by your's truly.
