Yesterday we linked to MSNBC's 2007 college football preseason Top 25, so today we decided to have a look back at MSNBC's 2006 preseason poll. Note that for some reason the box on the top right of the article reflects this year's Top 25- I guess it is a widget that has already been updated- but the article correctly begins with Ohio State as the #1 2005 preseason pick and then at the bottom of the article you can click on the links for 2 through 25 to see what teams held the other rankings.

Daunte Culpepper has signed a one-year deal with Oakland. It won't make the Raiders a Super Bowl contender, but it might make Culpepper a worthwhile late-round fantasy pick. The QB situation in Oakland is tentative, so he could press for a starting job if he can stay healthy.
