New York Jets running back Curtis Martin has announced his retirement. Will he jump into a broadcast booth as many retired players do? Perhaps co-host a pregame show? Not likely- according to Newsday, Martin plans to become a team owner.

Earlier this year, Chicago linebacker Lance Briggs demanded to be traded, saying of the Bears "I've played my last snap for them. I'll never play another down for Chicago again." Evidently he has had a change of heart, as NFL.com reports Briggs has agreed to a one year deal worth 7.2 million, with the agreement the Bears will not use the franchise tag on him after this season ends.
